The Lost Notes are billed as an Americana harmony folk group, but that description does not tell the full story, they are so much more than that. It’s true that they do have harmony vocals that are both precise and beautiful, it’s also true that they have an authentic Americana feel to their music, but these are just a fraction of the qualities that give The Lost Notes that extra pizzazz. Excellent musicianship, gifted songwriting, clever arrangements, pin-sharp humour, boundless energy, and an overarching sense of fun makes The Lost Notes one of the most entertaining bands to come out of the UK for years! IMHO, The Lost Notes should be prescribed as an antidote to a troubled and frightening world.

Opening the evenings festivities for us was the marvellous Mr Bryn Phillips. Bryn is an amazing songwriter who employs a wicked sense of humour to great effect. Bryn Possesses an incomparable perspective on real-life situations. When it comes to self-penned songs, he has an ability to illuminate the irony of many a real-world story and use it to provoke thoughtfulness, or just simply to make us laugh out loud. And that’s exactly what he did. Nice one Bryn!

Thanks to MC Chris for taking his medication before starting the evenings festivities. Thanks to Mr Gary and Mr John for all things AV. Thanks to the Techy-up and Techy-down teams, and last but not least, thanks to the brilliant Ashwood Marina staff and friends who despite being rushed off their feet, still kept smiling and pulling the pints!

Enjoy Yourself!
