This was a truly amazing experience. Ranagri are one of the top Celtic-folk-rock bands to come out of the British folk scene in years and last Friday they showed us all why. Ranagri have a repertoire so wide ranging you might think you are listening many different bands in one show! From soothing traditional Celtic tunes, right through to Prog-rock type mega-anthems, they have it all. Oozing immense musical skills, inspired song-writing, uber-professional production, you just won’t see a better musical ensemble anywhere on the planet. No small thanks to Drew, (the bands fantastic soundman), Ranagri completely blew us away. Wow! Go and see this band: http://www.ranagri.com/

Speaking of wide-ranging repertoires'; Our very-own Mr Bryn Phillips did a cracker of an opening set for Ranagri. Bryn’s amazing talent for “left-field” song writing is brilliantly unique. Cleverly thought-out compositions over an amazing smorgasbord of subjects, all played with a folk-blues style. Simply delicious! MC Chris Irving did for us. Sorry, did an amazing job for us. Using all his wit and talent he bemused all of us, but still guided us through the magical musical land of whims and delights that is a Woodman Guest Night. Thanks to Mr Gary and Mr John for all the AV work. Thanks to the Techy-up and Techy-down teams and thanks to all at Ashwood Marina for looking after us. They’re Great!
