I had a feeling it might be, and it was definitely a night to remember. Union Jill, treated us to a fabulously entertaining evening of great music and much, much more. Union Jill, (Helen Turner and Sharon Winfield), were just marvellous. It’s fair to say that if you book Union Jill for a festival or a gig, you are most definitely going to get some positive, enthusiastic, warm feedback from your audience.

Union Jill have managed to develop a really great stage act that encompasses all that is great about live music. Audience participation is guaranteed, uplifting and inspired musical performance is assured, and uproarious laughter is a certainty.

It’s a rare talent to be able to confidently produce an all-encompassing stage-act with such apparent ease. A show that includes all the elements that make up everything that is good about live gigs. To produce such a fast-moving show that so quickly engages the audience takes planning, timing, and a great deal of talent and Union Jill have it in abundance.

Making a triumphant return to the Woodman stage, was our very-own Coz & Baz.
Coz & Baz, (Corrine and Barry Priest), are Woodman stalwarts and have been an integral part of the Woodman for many a year. Barry has recently developed some terrific keyboard skills to add to his existing guitar skills and accomplished vocal talents. Corinne is a gifted guitarist who employs a gentle and precise fingerstyle that is just perfect. Corrine also has a flair for the accordion, which she uses to great effect in the more dynamic tracks.

All in all, it was just a superb night.

Thanks to MC Chris for guiding the night, Mr Garry, and Mr John B on all things AV. The Techy-up and Techy-down teams and the wonderful Ashwood Marina staff and customers for their marvellous support and hard work.

Enjoy Yourself!
