In our 40th year and stronger than ever
Itís me, Pete, writing this on behalf of Trevor who, as you may know, is in hospital at the moment.
The festival season is drawing to an end, with Bromyard the main local festival left still to visit on 11th September after first calling in at the Woodman on the 10th for the opening night of the new season of brilliant folk music, starting with a singerís night to ease you in gently.
The Woodman programme for the new season is shaping up well. Already in the diary are Hickman and Quinn (Ex Badgers), Kevin Dempsey & Joe Broughton (Ex Albion Band), Ruth Fuga & Ken Powell (Ex Risky Business) and the lovely Flossie Malavialle. And, after their acclaimed appearance at Shrewsbury Folk Festival local heroes Julia Disney and Tim Judson will be entertaining us on 15 October.
The 4th February next year sees our 40th Anniversary. Ian has lined up one of the very top acts on the Folk Scene. Keep watching the web site Ė you will not want to miss this one!
Look forward to seeing you soon,
