Congratulations to the Woodman audience old, new, and well-travelled! You all know when you are going to have a great time, so you showed up in force and by golly you were not wrong! Tonight, the wonderful Anthony John Clarke and Julia Porter put on a show that brought the packed house down. Joined on stage and aided and abetted by, Derry Jones, Deb Jones, and Mark Busby Burrows, (NTP3).

I think we can safely say that the show was enthusiastically received, resulting in a resounding success. AJC’s performance skills and wit were focused fairly and squarely on the multiple funny-bones of a full house that was packed to the rafters, and he showed no mercy! Urged on by the fact that it was also a special evening, celebrating the lovely Deb’s birthday bash, both AJ and Julia pulled out all the stops! Even the much-loved masters of folk-rock Fairport Convention, got in on the act by sending Deb a wonderful video of themselves on-stage doing, what can only be described as a “Unique” medley of “Kisses for Me,” by Brotherhood of Man, cunningly re-written to become “Quiches for Me” and the classic, “Happy Birthday”, song. My goodness, it was a memorable performance! Sweet!

Starting the most excellent night of fun and festivities, was the inimitable Nothing to Prove 3.0. Playing a mini smorgasbord of self-penned, popular, and funny covers, NTP 3.0 provided the opening salvo of musical misbehaving that was to continue for the length of the whole glorious night.

Thanks also to MC Chris for his immaculate and much treasured joke-management skills. Massive thanks to techy up and techy down teams. Thanks to Mr Gary and Mr John for all their outstanding efforts on all things AV. A special thanks goes to Mr Dick Woodhouse for stepping up to be the Sound Man for the night, again. Nice one Dick. As always there would be no such festivities if it were not for the outstand support of the Ashwood Marina and all its staff and customers. We could not do this without all of you helping us so much!

Enjoy Yourself!
