Yet another amazing show! Tonight we were treated to one of this country’s best songwriters. John Richards and his superb band, were on top-form and just completely nailed it! What a fantastic night. The musicianship was, as always first class and beautifully enhanced by the addition of a brand-new violin player, Kathleen Ord. The lead and harmony vocals were lovingly honed to perfection and John’s original written material was arranged, produced, and delivered in a polished, well-rehearsed, dynamic performance, fit for the largest of stages. We were also treated to numerous, hilarious stories about John’s unfortunate escapades, made even funnier by the fact that we all knew that they were all absolutely true.

All of the fun and frolics were captured with multi-aspect videography in glorious colour and stereophonic sound for posterity too!

And for openers? Not to be out-shined, our wonderful Woodmanite, Bryn Phillips did us all proud. Plucking songs from his vast wealth of material and belting them out with great skill. Every subject you can think of is covered by at least one of Bryn’s most excellent self-penned works. From topical political statements, blues, historical stories, to humorous encounters with disruptive shoppers! Brilliant Bryn!

Also massive thanks to Mr Gary on photos, and Mr John Bailey on triple AV! Of course, all the Techy-up Techy-down teams and to the hard-working staff and customers of the Ashwood Marina. MC Chris Irving, did a superb job too. Skilfully and expertly navigating us all through the many waves of fun and excitement. Chris…You’re never right mate and we love you for it!! Thank you.

Enjoy Yourself!
