(Review taken from Derry's Facebook Post) Fun, fun, fun! Whoops they did it again. The enigmatic Lost Notes wrapped us all up in a warm cuddly blanket of fun and frolics and then Shook us up and made us sing and “dance” the night away! That’s right, iIt was yet another superb show delivered by the most excellent Lost Notes. Awesome three-part harmonies riding on the crest of an inspiring, unrelenting rhythmic wave that was skilfully generated by a thumping rhythm guitar and driving acoustic lead guitar, all held on-course by the tight, synchronous back-line boys on bass and drums. Excellent. They were having a blast, we were having a blast, it was a just superb!! The opening act was our very own Velvet Green; a duo whose song-book knows no bounds. Variety is Velvet Green’s secret weapon, and the safety was set to OFF! taking us on a musical adventure consisting of original gems and cherished favourites, oh, and tweaking our funny bones on the way. MC Chris, skilfully misguided us through the evening in the most pleasant and endearing way. The marvellous John Bailey captured previous Lost Notes sorties on video, and our very-own Mr Gary snaped away merrily just at the right moments. Thanks to the Techy-up and Techy-down team and all the staff at The Ashwood Marina too. Party on dudes. Enjoy Yourself! Derry & Deb xx |
