If you love the best of traditional folk, followed by an extra helping of rip-roaring contemporary folk, layered on top of some excellent original compositions, then Mick Bisiker’s Rack & Ruin Acoustic is the band for you. They laid on a show that was jam-packed with all of the above and more. The standard of songwriting was exceptional, the musicianship was outstanding and the presentation/stage-presence was both professional and joyous. Humorous antics and anecdotes did abound and the culmination of all this served to delightfully enthral everyone in the room. To sum-up, it was simply the best!

Our very-own Velvet Green stood bravely in the spotlight to open the evening for us all. As ever, Sue and Paul appeared to pull a perfect set right out of the hat, but we know that confident stage presence and extraordinary talent, take some time do develop and Velvet Green have put in that time in order to succeed and succeed they did! Great songs delivered with warmth, professionalism and just the right amount of humour.
Nice one Velvet Green!

MC Chris Irving, stood firm and held back the “Multitudinous Throngs” in his own initiable way. Thanks also to Mr Gary on photography, and the Techy-up, Techy-down teams for their sterling efforts. Also, thanks to the marvellous Ashwood Marina staff and customers for helping and supporting us all. You’re all stars.

Enjoy Yourself!
