Hi
Folks, Just
thought I would drop you a brief line about our birthday party. As
you may know by now, this Friday (17th February) The Woodman is celebrating
its 35th Anniversary. The club opened its doors in February 1971 when
Tommy Dempsey and Jon Swift were the first guests. I never thought when
I settled down to listen to the polished tones of Mick Harrington
creating merriment by making
a hash of the first song that 35 years later very little would have
changed! Our
guest on Friday will be the colossus that is Bill Caddick. Bill needs
very little introduction having been a regular visitor to the club over
the years. His is a writer of outstanding songs, many of which are
performed throughout the world by artists of international repute. He
has also received the ultimate accolade of having songs parodied by
Les Barker! In
addition to Bill, we hope to have a few surprises up our sleeve for the
evening. Please
help us to make this an evening to remember. Hope
to see you. Regards. Trevor
Durden
