In our 36th year and going strong |
|
Hi
Folks, Our birthday celebrations throughout February proved to be very successful, culminating in our Birthday Party. Bill Caddick was on great form despite the effects of a cold and it was also a great pleasure to see Tommy Dempsey at the club again, reviving memories of the very first night back in 1971. Very many thanks to everyone who helped us to make this evening a success, not least of all to Lynn for producing the food and to you for giving your support over the years.
Time flies by so quickly and before we think about it we will be back
into the festival season. However, before then we have a wonderful line
up of guests for you. Come
along on 10th March and see Pete Morton. Pete is always a welcome
visitor to the club and his wry outlook on life ensures a great nights
entertainment. Dust off
your banjo and your guitars and come along on 17th March to our Singers
Night. These nights are always popular so all you budding artists come
along and give us a song or two. The
following week, 24th March, sees one of the highlights of the year when
we welcome back the genius that is Clive Carroll. Clive is simply one of
the best guitarists you are ever likely to see. His credits and
credentials are, to say the least, impressive, including playing guitar
for Madonna!. What does a talent like Clive do for a party piece?
Simple, he plays both parts of duelling banjos…..............at the
same time! Ian
tells me that tickets are going fast so contact him to avoid
disappointment. Also
lined up for your entertainment over the next few months are:- 31st
March Eddy
Morton See
the Diary for further details We
are sure you will agree that this is a really a top line up with
entertainment fully to the fore. We
look forward to seeing you soon. All
the very best, Trevor
