In our 37th year and stronger than ever |
|
Hi Folks From the rain and mud at Bromsgrove to the warm sunshine of Shrewsbury we have feasted in the best of folk music from around the world but as the festival season draws to an end The Woodman is all set for its 37th year. The season reopens on 7th September with one of our legendary Singers Nights. The following week (14th September) we welcome back the ever - popular Anthony John Clarke. Few artists can match Anthony John for entertainment value and his is sure to give us an evening to remember. Another Singers Night on 21st September precedes what we believe to be the first visit to the club on 28th September of Roger Wilson & Karen Tweed. Karen has worked with Kathryn Tickell and The Poozies and Roger has worked with The House Band so you can expect musicianship in abundance. The list goes on an on, but to summarise, the programme up to Christmas is as follows:- 5th October. Martyn Wyndham-Read 12th October. John Richards Band 19th October. John Wormald Band 26th October. Singers Night 2nd November. Clive Gregson 9th November. TBA 16th November. Steve Tilston 23rd November. EvanStevens 30th November. Harriet Bartlett 7th December. Singers Night 14th December. Christmas Party with the brilliant FAIRFIELD IT’S MEMBERSHIP TIME! We would take this opportunity to remind you that it is time to renew your membership. Membership costs just £5 and entitles you to a discount of £1 per week on your admission price. In addition to the reduction in the admission price it will also give you preference for tickets for high profile guests. On a more practical level your membership fee gives the club an early financial boost that helps us fund better artists for your enjoyment. As ever, thank you for your continued support. Trevor |
