Hi Folks, I hope you all had a good summer break. September sees a new Woodman year starting with Singers’ Night and Membership on the 9th. Then on the 16th we’ve got Red Shoes with a cameo appearance of Them Good Ol’ Boys. Red Shoes have been making waves since they first played at the Woodman. They have a unique approach to music which is captivating and inspiring, not to be missed. local_singers/local_2011.htm The following week 23rd it’s Joe Topping. Joe’s pedigree is exceptional, he has worked with Chris While and Julie Matthews, Maartin Allcock and Astley Hutchings, couple this with a solo walk of 1,400 miles across America in 2006 and you can see this man is very special. Finally on 30th it’s Singers’ Night which provides a chance for both new and experienced talent to play their music. We’ve had some exceptional musicians at the club over the years; you can view them by just looking at the photo album [local artists] on the web site. The trailer for October is that you’ll be able to experience two brilliant guitarists, Clive Carroll and our own Sunjay Brayne. Finally, Gwyneth and Pete have asked me to let you know that there is a new venue for the Willenhall Folk Club starting on Monday September 5th at 8.30 p.m, it’s now at the New Invention Victory Club Lichfield Road WV12 5BB. Take care, keep singing, Pete |
