Hi Folks,

This month isn’t male dominated as you will see.

Firstly on 4th November we’ve got the wonderful talents of Tim Judson and Julia Disney. Don’t go to any firework parties their music will give you all the wizz bang you need.

Then on the 11th November it’s Singers’ Night. Will Sunjay be here straight from his success at the Radio Two Young Folk Singer of the Year Awards? Let’s hope so. Also you can expect all our highly esteemed resident singers; Bryn Phillips, Velvet Green, Dick Woodhouse, Nothing to Prove, maybe the BICA Band or component parts thereof plus new talent and many guests. Where else can you get such a line up for less than the cost of a pint of beer?

The following Friday the 18th is our annual date with Anthony John Clarke. You all know AJC, he’s almost part of the furniture. With great anticipation we all look forward to his pilgrimage to the Woodman. For those who have not seen him before you can expect an evening of pure entertainment – with audience participation!

Finally, it’s the welcome return of Real Time, that’s Judy Dinning and Kenny Spiers on the 25th of November. Judy used to play in the Bad Pennies and Kenny you will know from when he played with John Wright. Put together Judy’s wonderful voice and Kenny’s intricate guitar playing and you get an evening to delight you.

Also don’t forget the Sean Cannon Charity night on Thursday, 8th December at Old Oscott Working Men’s Club, 1196 Aldridge Road, Great Barr, Birmingham B44 8PE. Speak to Christine at the club.

Your trailer for next month is Hickman and Quinn. And of course it’s December; will there be a pantomime? Watch this space!

Keep singing, keep smiling,

Pete
