There’s a song that says, “It might as well rain until September.” Well, the rain has started, so cheer yourself up by coming along to the Autumn Season at The Woodman Folk Club, Ashwood Marina, Ashwood Lower Lane, Kingswinford, DY6 0AQ:

Starting on the 19th of September we have a Wonderful Woodman Singers Night. Yes folkies, dust off those guitars, bodhrans, keyboards, cajons, violins, whistles, accordion’s, poems, stories, and yes, even banjos!

This is also the start of our yearly membership, (September – July).

Join up for only Six pounds to enjoy all the fun and get a reward of two pounds discount on guest nights and one pound discount on singers nights.

What a bargain!

On the 26th of September, we have the remarkable Gerry Colvin. We love these guys. Gerry and his extremely talented band; Trish Power, Lyndon Webb, and Jerome Davies, will be strutting their stuff at the Woodman FC, and if you've seen them before you'll have some idea of what to expect: Absolute genius.

Gerry has a long and illustrious career, both as a superb performer and a much sought-after songwriter to the stars. A recent review described him thus: “If you want some idea of what Gerry Colvin is like live then imagine Lonnie Donegan on Prozac mixed in with the manic gesticulations of Lee Evans and the languid movements of Emo Philips.” You’ll understand when you see him!

It will be joyous!
