Hello Folketeers!

Spring is in the air! At last the winter is behind us, so let's all celebrate.

On Friday the 6th March we have yet another of our legendary Singers Nights. You definitely need to get there early to book your spot as Singers' Nights are very popular and slots are limited. Alternatively, to be sure, it would be best to book a spot in advance by contacting Debby & Derry - contact details are on the home page. And don't forget the revised timing, starts at 8.00pm sharp!

Then on Friday the 13th of March we have the fantastic Crows. We take very great pleasure in welcoming back Crows. They absolutely mesmerized the audience with a blistering show just a year ago. Crows are a hugely popular band and great exponents of the English folk tradition. Crows are: Mick Ryan on vocals, Paul Downes on guitar, banjo, mandolin and vocals, Dave Bordewey on violin, and Pete Harris on bouzouki, Guitar and vocals, and other weird and wonderful stringed instruments and together they make a formidable rousing sound. Beware, they swap instruments between the band all the time! Crows are masters of their trade, delivering top-class songs. Mick’s powerful vocals and the band's overarching harmonies, form a wall of voices that are both melodic, powerful, and strong. Then on Friday the 20th of March, we keep the good times rolling with the fabulous, Kelly's Heroes. We are very happy to announce the return of the vibrant Kelly’s Heroes. Kelly’s Heroes are: Steve on guitar, Patrick on fiddle, Helen on button melodeon and Tony on vocals, bodhran. These guys have been around for eons but this will be their third Woodman appearance after yet another brilliant show in November 2024. With a repertoire that encompasses fast and furious Celtic tunes and songs, gentle ballads, quality contemporary numbers as well as some original material, this Nottingham based band are one of the most sought after on the club, pub, and festival circuit. Their rich sound provided by the accordion, powerful rhythm guitar and bodhran give a fullness that belies the number of people on stage.

Marching on to Friday the 27th of March, we have yet another Fabulous Woodman Singers' Nights.
