Nothing to Prove

Nothing To Prove (NTP) was formed back in 2000 following a chance encounter at the Bridgnorth Folk Festival back in 1999.

The original line up included:
Paul Bedingfield: Guitar, Bass and Vocals
Derry Jones:.Bass, Guitar and Vocals
Debby Jones: Percussion, Keyboard and Vocals
Trevor Durden: Mandolin and Bouzouki.

Unfortunately, our dear friend Trevor passed away in 2010.
He was and still is sorely missed.

Quite a few months had passed when our friend Rob O’Dell took up the reins on the four and eight-string instrument front and what a great job he is doing. It has reinvigorated the band.

The new line up is:
Paul Bedingfield: Guitar, Bass and Vocals
Derry Jones:.Bass, Guitar and Vocals
Debby Jones: Percussion, Keyboard and Vocals
Rob O'Dell: Mandolin and Mandola

Working hard to present new material and having fun re-arrange the existing repertoire to bring it into our fresh new sound, Nothing to Prove have now set about the task of getting it out there. With radio interviews and gigs at local clubs and festivals not only do they advance their own cause, but also that of the Woodman Folk Club.

Their debut album, "Open Verdict" was released back in 2002 and is a well-constructed statement of intent. It features a strong mixture of songs that have proved to be favourites at the Woodman and other venues.
The long awaited second CD is well overdue, but hark, rumours are afoot that it is about to escape:
